116793 2003-01-29 08:21:00 PJ, the White PCI socket is on the motherboard, under the cover on the PC. Its not on the back. When it plugs into the m/b, the socket for the network cable is then available on the back of the PC. One of those metal "stips" comes off where it plugs in, just like a modem plugs into the motherboard inside the PC.

It's not that bad, unless one (or both!) computers are downloading files continuously. For general surfing on both PCs it's not noticeable.
