| 117233 | 2003-01-30 02:45:00 | Okay, here's how it goes: Ive got a Linux box... Its got about 4 SCSI HDD's... All are about 18 gigs All have been mounted (Using Command Line Interface) as the following folders: /Data1 /Data2 /Data3 /Data4 Now... Those folders are currently shared using SAMBA, but Im wanting to setup a software RAID Array. I know it can be done... Ive seen a guy with that setup before! I basically want them to be treated as one great big HDD so that I can share it via samba as one great huge folder for file-serving! Now.. Im still a real n00b at CLI Linux so I'll need some real easy instructions.. :) Thanks Chilling_Silence |

It's probably on your system, but otherwise have a look at the Dunedin mirror (dunedin.lug.net.nz). The Software Raid one will probably get you going. |

But compare your version (cut & pasted?) of that link with mine. Mine is missing the "HOWTO/"after "ldp/" and before "HOWTO-INDEX". I mistyped it. :-( But couldn't you manage to navigate the site? There's a lot there which you might find worth reading. |
