| 117718 | 2003-02-02 00:50:00 | Using XP, AZ11ea board, 1Ghz Athlon, 512 Ram. Ge Force 2 Graphics card 64Mb. 20Gb WD HD. Opening a pic folder for the first time from a new start can take maybe a minute to come up in thumbnails, however on the odd occasion the same folder will open in less than a sec. I've had 3 clean installs, changed the main board and the HD to no avail, makes no difference to the opening time, mostly very slow and the odd fast opening. Prior to XP ME worked fine except for the odd crash. Has anyone come across this problem, I'd be delighted to hear the fix. Regards Malcolm |

| 117724 | 2003-02-03 04:11:00 | The size of folder does not seem to make any difference, for instance one with 10 or so, maybe 5/6 Mb, takes 10secs and one with 20/30 about the same time . Malcolm |

| 117725 | 2003-02-03 04:15:00 | Yes always thumbnails , however, using the same machine running ME and the same files everything opened in a flash, - as does everything else in XP. Using Adobe Photoshop elements all the editing works fine . A fine pickle YES? Malcolm |

| 117726 | 2003-02-07 08:01:00 | Hi Stu. Im sure its not normal, i had ME to start with and i remember feeling chuffed at the speed with which the folder opened all in thumbnails and containing about 80 pics and 90MB worth and even now with XP it sometimes opens in less than a sec but mostly a minute or two Regards Malcolm |
