| 117783 | 2003-02-02 23:00:00 | Jams, The Oldies used to deliberately leave out the RAM on initial Power-On to make sure that the BIOS was on the ball and the speaker was connected and working OK. If they got the appropriate response from the BIOS they would carry on. These days they seem to plug everything in and bingo it works. If it doesnt, then its back to square one. I guess it gets down to the faith you have in the product your assembling. Bottom line is you should get some response from the BIOS without any RAM. |

| 117788 | 2003-02-03 20:09:00 | Thanks Jams, but I don't need the prices (already been to Pricespy). I want to know which would be better to buy, a GeForce2 or 4? I've heard that it's a waste of money spending the extra for the 4 when the 2 would do fine, so I want to know people's opinions on this :) Mike. |

| 117789 | 2003-02-04 00:08:00 | Depends on which model and what you're gonna use it for. GF4 supports dual-monitor, GF2 doesn't to quite the same extent. |
