| 117707 | 2003-02-02 01:09:00 | I have a Toshiba 2250 series Notebook which is performing very slowly on our network. Investigation revealed that the video card, pc card controler (and therefore the network card), Modem, USB controler, and Soundcard all share IRQ 11 and none of them are able to be adjusted in device manager. I have disabled the sound and USB which has doubled the network throughput but it still lags behind less powerful desktop PCs on the network. The only configuration utility (Tsetup) does not adjust IRQs and there does not appear to be a BIOS utility as there is on desktops. Is there any way to adjust these IRQs to spread the load or would it make not make any difference? Any suggestions welcome. Cheers ?:| |
