I have been trying to install an Epson printer, C20UX, in Windows Me, but though the port shows up in Device Manager, it always loads the printer to the LPT1 parallel port. This printer does not have the ability to use the parallel port - only USB. Why doesn't it recognise the USB port? I tried to add the port, as it does not show up in the list in the properties settings, but it shows it as an unknown port. How can I get the printer software to recognise the USB port? |
