| 118289 | 2003-02-05 07:33:00 | Just discovered 'eAnthology' has reloaded itslfe behind my back. It wouldn't let me uninstall it so I did a regedit search for it and eAccelerator and deleted anything associated. I got suspicious when permission was denied to the 'administrator' [me] to a bunch of files that access was available under another user. I happened to know that there was a lot of eAnthology files in the suddenly inaccessable files. I tried doing this from 'safe mode' but 'workstation service' wasn't running and won't, if in 'safe mode'. I think eAnthology was the chief culprit and was only doing it's legitimate job of helping you find your favourite sites. It was causing popups to come up advertising a 'stop popup' program. Cunning eh, cause a problem, and then sell a solution. The next few days will tell if I have nailed it future |
