118306 2003-02-04 08:37:00 A friend has 'kindly' set a password on a mates computer, so when we try to access his computer via our network, we need the password. Trouble is, the friend has forgotten the password he set. And the owner of the computer NEVER knew it to start with!

How does the owner (who has admin rights, and knows his own password to log in), get rid of this password, so that we can access his computer over the network?

118308 2003-02-04 08:53:00 Also if he goes to C: right click on C then go to Properties then go to the sharing tab then go to Access type: "full" and then by passwords see under " full access password" is should show a password then delete the password.
If a dialog boxes show it just click on ok

Hope this helps
