118641 2003-02-05 19:34:00 is there a way to turn off the file preview of avi files in windows 2000
it takes a long time to load and makes it hard to copy a file from network

shouldn't be too hard .... just don't know how to do it

118642 2003-02-05 19:39:00 If its 'Just' AVI files, Im not too sure, but in the folder, Right-Click and select Icons, not thumbnails like it's probably already set on :-)

You'll have to do this for each individual folder, but you can go into Tools
-Folder Options
-View

you can then un-tick Remember each folders View settings and then hit Apply, Hit Make all folders like current (Button up top) and then hit apply :-)

Cheers
