| 118889 | 2003-02-06 19:59:00 | I downloaded a new XP driver for my scanner but after loading it & rebooting , XP appeared as a fresh install with default wallpaper & none of my programs installed! Amazingly the scanner worked but the price of losing everything else was too high. I have restored the system to the latest restore point that was 2 months old , but how can I get back to where I was yesterday? Can I set restore points automatically each day? PS anybody want to buy a used (nonXP) scanner? |

Therefore you should of had a restore point available on the day you installed the new driver.?:| You can manually create restore points, but doing it each day will soon fill up your hard drive! There is also a size limit with system restore (mine is set to 4578 MB) of disk space to use. Jen |
