| 118809 | 2003-02-06 05:31:00 | since i download a lot and only got one phone line i often block out important phone calls is there a way to make the computer disconnect when a call comes in or is there some sort of service that telecom provides let would let me do this? |

| 118810 | 2003-02-06 07:46:00 | Call Waiting might cut the internet with the beeps of a incoming call providing you don't use the Disable Call Waiting option in the modem. There was a service called Call Minder but you still need to access the phone line to clear your messages. Get a cheap prepaid cell phone and give out that number though not everyone will call you on the cell phone number. If you really want to keep your line free for calls but you also want to be on line for long periods consider a second line option with the computer hooked up to the new number. |
