| 118759 | 2003-02-06 02:20:00 | I have RH 8.0 and a Canon BJC 4310sp printer.When i try to install the printer i get to Config local printer and it highlites Canon etc but when i go to driver select it highlites the postscript etc but no highlite when i scroll down and pick my printer type.I can only install the postscript driver.I had RH 7.2 and the printer installed ok. | Kjaada (1227) | ||

| 118761 | 2003-02-07 04:15:00 | I see that the Hardware-HOWTO lists that printer as "Works mostly", rather than 'Paperweight", so all is probably not lost. :D Have a look at www.linuxprinting.org ... it might be a "new improved user-fiendly" printing system which is causing a problem. You couldbe missing a configuration file which you might find in the google provided links. (the first two both list it). |
