2003-02-06 03:15:00 | Its often just that the install file is corrupt. Try cleaning the CD and re-installing.

2003-02-06 09:57:00 | I believe that its saying a file on the CD is not able to be read, so there may be a problem with a scratch on the disk? Info on the web points to this as the prime cause of this error message. Polish the CD with Brasso (or toothpaste if Brasso is not available)

2003-02-06 10:18:00 | Just a wild guess, but is the disk a backup/copy or is it the original CD? | Stumped Badly (348) | |
2003-02-06 19:59:00 | i think it is a copy my friend is letting me borrow it. he has the original CD

2003-02-06 21:10:00 | The copy you have will omnly work in the original computer. Cause its a pirate disc see. Its only legit if you have the original copy and you are using the disc you have as a back-up in case your original copy gets scratched. According to the experts like Roofus and Lo.

2003-02-06 21:29:00 | Many modern games will have a mechanism to prevent piracy. If the CD is copied, unless it is an exact copy ie error correction disabled etc., the install program will detect that it is not an original disc and not function. P.S. I would advise you to not publically state you are using pirated software either ;-). Penz
