| 118755 | 2003-02-06 02:04:00 | I hate cookies, and in IE I found it easy to only accept the ones needed to make certain sites work, refuse the rest and never be bothered by the same cookies again. I can't seem to get this sorted with Opera tho. How do I accept only the wanted cookies but not all the others? I don't want to be asked about the same cookies everytime I visit the same site, I want to deal with it once only. How do I configure Opera 7 to allow this? | Danger (287) | ||

It is absolutely evil.< Yes I know about that, but then I have to log in each time and that silly box keeps poping up about saving passwords, too time consuming. Why can't I just block all the cookies except the needed ones like in IE? >Is there not a setting called Edit Server Filters where you can just specify the sites to accept, I wouldn't get too paranoid about them, they are fairly harmless.< Yes, I need to explore this option further, I guess thats what I was asking, how to use this feature to my advantage. In IE it is easy to manage cookies, just thought there may be an easy way in opera. I'll attempt to work it out when I have more time. It seems abit complicated when accessing sites like msn groups and passport sites where you need to accept some cookies to make them work, and others that you don't need will also be downloaded. In IE you could accept or decline individual cookies and so I would have about a dozen needed ones and all the rest would be automatically refused. |
