| 119227 | 2003-02-08 01:02:00 | I have just formated my c drive again but this time my com3 port has gone.this is the port I run my modem on. I have tried adding a new port through add new hard ware but the system still will not detect it.I think the problem my be in the bios (award bios) can anyone help? | neon (3116) | ||

But the setting up of COM3 will be done by P&P/PCI or the driver for the internal modem, rather than BIOS. Try removing the modem, and uninstalling it. Then replace it and power up, so it gets detected and installed as a new device. That should fix it. |
