| 119158 | 2003-02-07 13:14:00 | I just booted my system though and bootsect.lnx was sitting there in: "/" Couldnt post my screenshot...have to load CutFTP and its gonna take ages My eyes getting smaller by the minute ?:| Its late..maybe when everyone wakes up early in the morning they can help out. I better go hit the bed! Hope you get it fixed soon. |

| 119160 | 2003-02-07 13:53:00 | Well, I went to redhat.com searched for "grub install", got this (www.redhat.com) page, typed in /sbin/grub-install /dev/hda, and bang, I can now choose Windows or Linux at startup :) I know, I know, I know, I am so impatient, but hey it works :D Sorry for wasting everyone's time, but hey, I've learnt something (use grub first time:p). Now if only I could get my sound (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) to work, then I'd be an extra happy chappe. Cheers Liam |
