You can add a usb floppy drive if you need it.

119343 2003-02-09 04:44:00 My iBook has no floppy, and I don't miss it at all. However, if I had the cheaper model with no CD writer, then it would probably be a pain. Alasta (1420)
119344 2003-02-09 07:05:00 You cant beat a floppy for quickly backing up an important file.
I have a cd writer thingy but it is a pain in the arse setting it up to copy data etc.
I have still not got over the trauma of not being able to have a true floppy (5 1/4in) in my computer they were cool.

119345 2003-02-09 08:35:00 I noticed when I was in stationary warehouse Petone last weekend they had a computer combo deal ,scanner ,printer & desk for about $1300 & it had no floppy.
I thought it was another way to keep price down.

119346 2003-02-09 09:03:00 ..Personally I use CD's, fast enough with burn times, so much easier.. USB drive would be my next option though :-) Chilling_Silence (9)
119347 2003-02-09 11:51:00 OK it probably does keep the prce down but they are only about $30 so as against the perception of a floppy is it a lot of money. mikebartnz (21)
