1329742 2013-02-24 21:16:00 I am running two internal drives one is a Intel SSD 120GB ( local disk C ) it shows only 532 Mb free space left which is wrong, it has about 80 GB left , the other is a Seagate Barracuda 1TB (OS ) D whether it is related to the cause i have no idea , both have windows 7 on them and i normally just use the SSD to boot up and boot up on the other drive sometimes if i need the programs on it, the problem being i get error messages stating that there is not enough memory, i have tried defraging but it only goes as far as consolidating completely and then still shows 42% defrramentation, i have run the intel toolbox through it and tried the optimiser but that can not complete because of the lack of free space, i also have been getting the BSOD lately intermittently which is caused by athrx.sys driver but have download the latest driver to no avail, this may not be related, any help would be appreciated :help: PeterQ (16315)
1329743 2013-02-24 21:25:00 I thought SSD's didnt need fragmenting?? If you do defrag it may not last long? Use ccleaner, system restore is probably using a bit of it too. Did you update the wireless drivers if they were crashing? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1329744 2013-02-24 21:30:00 I did try CC cleaner and updated the drivers, i didnt know that about the SSD , it didnt work anyhow, i also do not have system restore turned on, also ran Superantispyware through it PeterQ (16315)
1329745 2013-02-24 21:36:00 How much memory is on this then?? Its not the same as hdd space Speedy Gonzales (78)
1329746 2013-02-24 21:37:00 8GB PeterQ (16315)
1329747 2013-02-24 21:49:00 I should also mention i ran windows memory diagnostics on it with no problems reported PeterQ (16315)
