1329463 2013-02-22 08:09:00 Hi,
Today I wanted to use my Android smartphone as a wi-fi hotspot and tether it to an iPad. This worked absolutely fine in Taranaki at Christmas, now today I could get it to tether ok and connect to the wi-fi , but Safari kept saying it could not load the page because the iPad was not connected to the internet. I tried everything I could think of , but why would it work ok in Taranaki and not here in Taupo today? Is it some crazy Apple thing?

1329464 2013-02-22 10:09:00 is the phone within coverage

try a reboot

try turning the WiFi hotspot back on

try turning WiFi on / off or rebooting the iPad

Does the iPad connect to the WiFi hotspot?

what have you tried?

1329465 2013-02-22 19:57:00 That's funny, it has now all come right this morning! I rebooted the phone, switched on Tethering, and now can connect the iPad to it. I think I must have lost coverage last night for a while. (Vodafone Network)
