2013-02-17 19:56:00 | Just in case anyone else comes across this - the NOD addin for Outlook 2013 causes Outlook to crash when email is sent, it also stops scheduled send/receive from working. No doubt Eset will have a fix out Asap for this.

2013-02-17 21:43:00 | Sorry - SMTP. Haven't tested it with any other protocols yet. Disabling the addon in the meantime will work. Have now had this happen on Win8 Pro x64 and Win7 Pro x64.

2013-02-17 21:44:00 | I got Office 2013 ( full RTM) with Nod 32 V6 on a windows 8 PC here, there have been no lockups at all. Re the Send and receive, thats a minor Bug, which they will no doubt fix - if you open the mail and manually click send/ Receive it then works OK with the scheduled send/receive. I read this post earlier, re-set the timer on scheduled send/receive to 3 minutes, left Outlook minimised and every 3 minutes its checking and receiving any mail- I have sent so far 8 mails at random times from this PC to the account on the Windows 8 PC and they have all come through fine. The account on the W8 PC is a outlook.com account. Edited: just read the reply :"Win7 Pro x64. " This PC, the main office one works 100% with V6 ESS & W7 x64 Ultimate, smtp account ( to damn well actually) every 10 minutes it checks - and sure enough bing bing ( sound emails arriving)every time.

2013-02-17 22:02:00 | Interesting...I wonder if there is some difference between the ESS and EAV addin? | wratterus (105) | |
2013-02-17 22:46:00 | Yep !! ESS has a firewall -- ( Ya asked for that one - and its only Monday :D ) On my office PC which has W7 x64 that has ESS, on windows 8 it only has the EAV. If I get time I'll change W8 to ESS see if theres any difference. The reason for not putting on ESS is SWMBO often gets onto it, and if the firewall prompts for action since I set it to interactive - its HELP what does this do/Mean.
