1303492 2012-09-26 09:27:00 Seems having the latest (or close to it) version of Android on your devices could be putting you at risk of a new Hack.

1303495 2012-09-26 09:58:00 Windows Phone pops up with a confirmation before actually calling the number, and then tells me I have to enter service codes directly from the keypad. Microsoft obviously thought about this. :D pcuser42 (130)

1303498 2012-09-26 10:50:00 Not applicable on my S2 (AOKP Preview 5) as well as some other ROMs.

Very unlikely to occur in the wild as far as I know, I had thought there was a patch released ages ago for this (perhaps I'm wrong) there was mention on XDA in April about unauthorised USSD codes and running exploits via them. Apparently a patch was created by a dev for users and an official patch from Samsung and HTC was released in their next FW update.

1303499 2012-09-26 10:51:00 Mine's thankfully immune to that trick :D. Yay for CyanogenMod 10! Erayd (23)
1303500 2012-09-26 10:55:00 I've rooted this phone. So, if it stuffs up I'll just reinstall something else :p The original ROM is no longer on it. Looks like this phone is affected tho. The rom maybe not the phone itself Speedy Gonzales (78)
1303501 2012-09-26 11:07:00 did you read the article?
Yes I did and it came across as the usual dooms day caper. For one I couldn't really care what Sophos says and I also started to research the other guys mentioned but decided it wasn't worth the effort. I always think who has an axe to grind when something like this pops up.
