1303565 2012-09-26 08:33:00 Yes where I grew up in England they found coal so built a power station. They then found that Kentish coal was useless for power but great for steelmaking. Guess what they sent our coal north to Sheffield and trained in northern coal for the power station gary67 (56)

1303567 2012-09-26 10:09:00 It's just like our oil refinery can't refine oil from NZ.
It reminds me of this guy in England that thought he was lucky to score a bag of coal that fell off the back of a truck. It was smelting coal so it cost him dearly.
NZ has various grades and we certainly have coal suitable for a coal fired power stations.
