1303794 2012-10-02 03:30:00 I'd come and give you a hand, but a bit far for the old Terrano, methinks.
Same - I'd pop over and give him a hand as I'm used to doing stuff like that, but sorry Joe the USA is a *little* too far for me to go :D

I got a guy to help --- and the wife too, so we're prolly covered. I can also get one other youngster of the big-size variety to actually carry logs.

I dropped several trees last year at this time to let them dry and they are 30-60 feet long, so I've just gotta drag them closer, cut them into 10-12 foot long poles to transport in my trailer.

I've got a 9000 lb winch on the front of my Blazer and another 3500 lb winch on the trailer to pull them into the trailer itself, so I don't have too much to do but cut and supervise.

With both those winches, 300 feet of logging chain and 200 feet of 1/2" braided steel cable on each of three drums and inside the winch capstans, I'll be OK.

Besides I like running my chain saws and winches. I'll start a heavy Men's Formula vitamin regimen tonight!

1303796 2012-10-02 04:52:00 We got into a big argument on the phone right then and there and they told they get these phone calls every time - most emphatically this time. I told them they were nuts and I demanded a new appointment. We went on like this for fifteen minutes -- arguing until I figured they MIGHT BE RIGHT and just hung up. I called them the next day and apologized. They said it happened like that all the time and to not worry about it.

PS: I'm sure it never happened though.

Keep that up Joe and next time they'll email back a self-autographed picture of you lying face down on the casting couch with a banana up your wrinkle.

Time after that you'll get a movie with sound, close-ups, and audience applause. :D

Cheers

I like those knock-out drugs that wipe your RAM during and after the event. I've had them a couple of times for procedures that required 'patient cooperation' and it is sure as hell better than remembering.

1303797 2012-10-02 05:04:00 Well - it could be accompanied with laughter too - so there's that!

Some of those drugs just flash my e-cell!

1303798 2012-10-02 07:21:00 One thing I've noticed is the rapid lack of air in my lungs. It seems that I run out of strength very quickly now.

I get dizzy and hear ringing in my ears with the slightest exertion - not good methinks.

And I've gotta saw cut, trim and load six cords of wood on Monday next.
I would leave most of that to your dreams at the moment Joe.;)

1303799 2012-10-02 13:30:00 I've really got to do it. Life will have to continue as normal for me w/ or w/o medical situations.

I'll not move as fast or as powerfully, but there's' work to be done and things to accomplish.
