1329543 2013-02-23 03:01:00 According to the manual online it says

Orcon Genius wireless signal is on by default and secured using a pre configured WPA key.

Please note: if you want a different password you can change this, see Chapter 4. Using your wireless capable device (i.e. Laptop, Smartphone, Tablet device) search
for the following network: ORCON-WIRELESS and connect to it. When prompted for a password, enter in the serial number located on the rear of the device as per images below

I would get the pdf file, read page 10 (orcon.net.nz)

1329544 2013-02-23 06:31:00 ok after lots of looking and fiddling........the teens told me they got connected when i wasnt here......... but didnt tell me, and they have to sit in specific places in the lounge to get and keep the connection...so that means its a weak signal???

Thanks speedy i had read some of that, but was getting real frazzled by this stage so gave up.

1329545 2013-02-23 06:46:00 Yup sounds like its a weak signal Speedy Gonzales (78)
1329546 2013-02-23 07:36:00 If the router is on WPA 2 or WPA make sure the phone and the Ipod are on the same security
You don't need to set security setting on iToys, they establish the encryption themselves, you just need the password, same for android

1329547 2013-02-23 07:43:00 If you say so Speedy Gonzales (78)
1329548 2013-02-23 09:58:00 He is correct, you do not need to set the security. Alex B (15479)
1329549 2013-02-23 10:11:00 The security has to be on the Router, if it's not then anyone within range could simply jump on and use your signal / internet without your knowledge. wainuitech (129)
