You can't install a downgraded copy yourself unless you have a valid key for the OS you are downgrading to that is no longer being used (such as a dead computer) or at least that is what Microsoft told me last time I asked about it. Dell, HP etc. are allowed to pre-load downgraded operating systems without an old key though. I wonder if MS makes them pay extra for downgrades? |
