1303784 2012-09-28 09:58:00 Isn't Warfarin the same as rat poison? Or am I thinking of something else?

Watch the alcohol intake though BM, with that medication ... in the meantime - Slainte mhath! :D

1303785 2012-09-28 10:10:00 Yeah, I had one of those Halter Monitors attached a couple of weeks ago and the Cardiologists report back to the GP read something like: “There were multiple events, so many I didn’t bother to count them”. Oh dear. They then decided a Stroke was inevitable the way things we were going so they put me on Warfarin. Great, the Warfarin and Amiodarone had a set to and I started to cough up blood. Off to hospital we go. The INR hit 7.9 and we wound up on Vitamin “K” to try and kill the Warfarin and reduce my INR reading.

Honestly, drive a man to drink. Which brings to my attention that my after dinner Port Glass is empty and requires a refill. ;)

I am on clopidigrel for blood thinning. No side effects after 8 weeks.

1303788 2012-09-28 10:59:00 I had something post-op when I had the triple bypass done in 2004 - don't remember what it was but, wow, weird dreams - flying through the universe with amazing lighting effects. Lasted all night! I was in for 8 days after the op, and I maybe got 3 hours of proper sleep in that time. I was very pleased to go home (for many reasons!!).... johcar (6283)

Thought it was the old style rat poison with Phosphorus in that made them seek water and the warfarin makes them bleed internally.

Just got diagnosed last week with rust in the prostate.

1303792 2012-10-02 02:56:00 One thing I've noticed is the rapid lack of air in my lungs. It seems that I run out of strength very quickly now.

I get dizzy and hear ringing in my ears with the slightest exertion - not good methinks.

And I've gotta saw cut, trim and load six cords of wood on Monday next.
