1303487 2012-09-27 01:32:00 children are quite disgusting these days. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one who pushed for it. They're not nearly as innocent as they often appear.

So are you siding with this pedo?

1303488 2012-09-27 01:46:00 by no means -_-
I just have no faith in society anymore, and believe the child may (or may not be, don't know details, eh?) not be entirely free of guilt. I've seen some pretty gross primary and intermediate school kids.

Sounds like the judge was more concerned about how this guy was going to survive in jail. He probably would have been 'groomed' himself. Just goes to show that there's laws for some, and laws for others.

Its hard to know the full story but it sounds like the judge considered prison was appropriate, but for this offender pulled back slightly. I'd speculate the offender is emotionally immature, more like a 15yr old, and likely to be a victim in the prison system. He could come out a worse problem than before he went in.

1303490 2012-09-27 05:03:00 Actually, in this case, i would have to agree with the Judge, we arent talking about a violent offender here, and he would get hounded in jail...groomng is one thing, sexual contact another....This would be one of the few cases where I think counselling and rehab would be a better sentence. 1303491 2012-09-27 05:33:00 Anyway, what is this “Sexual Grooming”? Is it a new activity, or a new name for an old activity? :D

Quite right, its new - 2005. It follows the UK 2003 Sexual Offences Act.
