It will be a volcanic type which will give us a weeks notice before things get bad.. Don't count on that. It all depends on what type of eruption happens. There's the smoke for a bit first type, but there's also the pyroclastic go bang type. |

Recent Volcanic Eruption on Tongariro was not much warning of what was happening, It also highlighted the major problem with Auckland of to much noise that makes the seismic equipment used in most of the world useless! Couple of days warning if your lucky tht something is on the move to the surface. That said I dont think you were alone in not taking part, few of the local emergency services volunteers could not be bothered either. |
