119734 2003-02-09 18:33:00 When making a copy of the PC World magazine CD I use Nero 5. I make a copy using the copy CD option. This makes a working copy of the original but this copy no longer starts automatically when placed in the CD player. What files on the original are not being copied from the original CD Rom? 119735 2003-02-09 21:49:00 Maybe the PC World CDs have some form of copy protection on them?

Can't say I've tried copying one before. But theoretically if you use the "CD Copy" option it should do a perfect copy.

119736 2003-02-09 21:51:00 using a programme called CloneCD will give you results,
Although this doesn't answer your question why Nero can't do it. I'll be watching this thread to see why also.

119738 2003-02-09 22:38:00 How are you going about copying them in Nero?? Chilling_Silence (9)
119739 2003-02-09 23:02:00 What sort of cd-writer is it? -=JM=- (16)
119740 2003-02-10 10:50:00 There's no copy protection on our CD's...although there is a small licensing fee to pay for every copy you make.

119743 2003-02-11 00:32:00 Just tried it myself using Nero 5.5.82 on a old Philips x4 writer with a CDRW and it burned across ok and auto started when put in the CD Tray.

All I did was make a image of the PC World disk which was in the CD Tray onto the H/drive as a *.nrg file and then burnt it across to the CD Writer.

Settings are the Default settings in Nero.
