119577 2003-02-09 07:00:00 I have bought a P4S5A/DX and I wish to find the right cpu for this mainboard I have looked at a intel celeron II 1.7ghz cpu,400mhz fsb,would this be suitable or do I need an Intel Pentium 4 1.7ghz. PETER MCK. mckpet (3124)

To clear this up I just downloaded the Motherboard manual in PDF format and read that "This board supports Pentium 4 processors"

Doesn't mention the Celeron. You could download the manual for yourself I guess if you want to be sure.

It's what I do when buying a board anyway.
