| 119760 | 2003-02-09 19:52:00 | I am having trouble retrieving a document created in Excel '97 as an Excel Worksheet. When I try to open it a message advises the file format is invalid. This happens when trying to open it on the same machine on which it was created or on another machine running Excell 2000 | McCauley (2360) | ||
| 119761 | 2003-02-09 20:13:00 | Bad news, I think the worksheet has been corrupted. Something may have gone wrong during the save, or it could be a disk problem. For important files, under the save options, us "always create backup copy" so you always have a spare. There are apps that will try to recover it, but they all cost. Also, one other long shot is to use another worksheet and external references to grab the values out of the worksheet, but you won't get formulae. robo. |
