| 120089 | 2003-02-10 20:45:00 | Hi, I'm using vpn on my XP Pro pc, but when I'm connected, I can't use the Internet, getting the old favourite "page cannot be found". I was told by someone that there's a setting somewhere to fix this, but he couldn't remember what it was. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Michael Carroll |

Press the Advanced button and then untick the 'Use default gateway on remote network' box on the General Tab. I would not suggest this however, as if you computer is compromised by someone on the internet they can connect to it while you are connected to your private (work?) network, giving them access. |

I don't have any prompt boxes with 'Use default gateway on remote network', but similar stuff that playing around with will hopefully result in the same. However, I'll keep what you mentioned about security in mind. Thanks again. Cheers, Michael. |
