| 119994 | 2003-02-10 05:47:00 | My computer has recently started crashing on me. It started a while ago, I went off to school, came back, and the computer was screwed up. I used goback, but I didn't go back far enough. Now the computer is randomly crashing, and giving me blue screens on startup. I just got a blue screen that closed systray. Systray could be the culprit, but I doubt it. Specs: Win98SE-533mhz P3-384mhz ram Oh, btw, when it crashes, the mouse can still move, but I can't click on anything, nothing responds. I tryed running windoctor but... crash. NAV... crash. Adaware... nothing. *PLEASE* HELP! |

| 119996 | 2003-02-10 06:35:00 | As much as I see GoBack and other System Restoring programs seem good they are basically only good if points are set before doing an install that may go wrong or when you are going to configure the system when the system is working perfectly. If the point for restore wasn't set after configurations and installs were done during this you are most likely going to corrupt the registry and give the computer more problems than you realise. So even if going back further in GoBack wasn't done it would have been better to try and fix the problem that was present and using the restore as the last measure. First you'll need to try and figure out what is causing the trouble. I'd check the RAM, you sound like you have enough RAM but you could have a fault there. If the System Resources are running out anything is possible to crash, even SysTray. Maybe stop a few services starting up and manually loading them when you need them. Just try and go easy on what you run. If all else fails (I'd use this as a last resort but sometimes it's the only way), and you have important data on your computer then you should try backing that up to another partition if possible or external media (CDR, Floppy, etc). Then format Win98SE and reinstall. |

It would not be difficult to look up the electoral rolls for Christchurch to see who is the teacher in whom people trust with their children . Remember there is no breach of the Privacy Act since all references are publically available publications . . . . |

| 119999 | 2003-02-11 04:19:00 | Heheheheh I go to a private school. And I have a private phone number, so, yeah. Anyway, I'm gonna reformat my computer. I'm no dunce when it comes to doing that-this will be the 4th bloody (pardon my french) time! Despite its severe crappiness, I'm seriously considering using XP instead... |
