Tonight I wanted to do a System Restore.
But it will not let me do it
This is the message a get: see the screen shot.

I am up to date with all the Windows Updates part from 2 and they are for IE SP 1 for IE 6(which I don’t have installed) and SP 2 for IE 5.5. Which I am going to install one day. :)

Can some one help me please???

Note: I have just reinstall windows around about the 25 Jan 2003 but I check the Windows Updates page to see if they is any updated that I need to reinstall but is list none

Or do you want to make a restore point before installing IE6 SP1?
If so there is a creation button, and windows should automatically make one before you install the software anyway.

119951 2003-02-10 19:37:00 It would appear from your screen image that there is no restore point because nothing has been changed to warrant a change of date.

If you want to create a restore point because of MS Updates or for some other reason then

Open Windows Explorer > Help > Help Topics > Use System Restore > Create A Restore Point > follow the prompts.

Of course this will not work if you have System Restore disabled but it is usually enabled as a default item in My Computer > Properties >

Be aware though that some MS Updates wipe the restore point anyway.
