119918 2003-02-10 04:20:00 i have currently got a ibm thinkpad and dont know if there is such a way ican turn my fan off and on manually or permantly on or a third party program compatible with Win2K Cra5h (2966)

No fan=overheated/melted components=cooked Laptop=$$$$$$$ (and lost files).

Anyway the fans aren't bad, (the one in the laptop sitting to my fight is quite quiet), of course if the fan is making excessive noise then it should be replaced.
