119871 2003-02-10 01:34:00 Dear Folks

An easy query I hope for the WORD experts out there. When Microsoft Word starts up, a warning message comes up, along the lines of "Microsoft Visual Basic - the macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to online help."

How do I get rid of this message permanently?
Rohan (1924)
119872 2003-02-10 01:49:00 my guess from the limited information you provided is to.
Tools--> Options --> General --> "untick Macro Virus protecktion"

119873 2003-02-10 01:57:00 Hang on a sec. Before doing that, why is this message appearing? It sounds like your normal.dot has a VB macro on it. So unless you added the macro yourself I would scan your PC with an anti-virus software first. nzStan (440)
119874 2003-02-10 20:52:00 Hi Rohan,

Some 3rd party software will add macros to Word's normal.dot file, when installed. (MYOB accounting is one of those). You should check what macros exist in Word by pressing Alt-F8 from within Word. If there is anything odd there, it might be worth posting back here in case anybody recognises them.

Cheers
