Any comments on the Chipset or the card would be greatly appreciated, (and some comments on its performance under Linux would be excellent). Cheers Liam |

| 120045 | 2003-02-10 10:11:00 | The 8738 is slightly better. But if you want good sound something like a Hercules Game Theatre XP or a Philips Aucoustic Edge is what you're after. The Hercules Fortissimo III isn't too bad for a budget(ish) card. Only problem is Philips haven't realeased the windows driver code to the linux community...... yet. |
