120296 2003-02-11 09:32:00 I recently returned to NZ and when I purchased my computer while living overseas in the setting up of the computer, (with WIN XP PRO), a folder was created under "Documents and Settings" which appears to relate to my e-mail address at that time. It contains folders such as cookies, my documents, startup etc.

I have tried to rename this folder to reflect current usage but am unable to because it indicates that it is a Windows system folder and cannot be moved or renamed.

Am I stuck with this folder or can I recreate it somehow under a different name?

120297 2003-02-11 09:48:00 I'd think tweaking the registry is one way to do it.

Another way is adding another user setup as the user you want. Copy the files you want from the other user and then remove the user.

120298 2003-02-11 19:34:00 I would be careful about fiddling with the Documents and Settings folders. When I tried renaming and moving mine around (Win XP Home) I ended up stuffing everything so much I had to reformat. :8}

I am at a loss to understand why you need to change your settings just because you have moved but if there are cookies, etc in there just go into your browser and delete them.
