| 120342 | 2003-02-11 20:47:00 | We have had a new e-mail server installed (Microsoft Exchange Server 2000) and I have had trouble sending emails with attachments from Outlook. The attachments don't appear to be arriving particularly to recipients using Outlook Express. The files appear in the mailboxes as a file called winmail.dat and I'm wondering if there is some sort of encoding problem. Does anybody know a solution? | Karlos the J (3149) | ||

| 120346 | 2003-02-23 02:52:00 | I'm still having this problem as M$'s fix is not for me. Their idea of stopping this happening is to send email as plain text. That's fine, but we use the Shared Calendar function of Outlook heavily, and to use the shared calendar you must send in rich text...catch 22? I tell you someone getting a winmail.dat from your email is a pain in the ass, especially since your intended attachment is not recieved. |

| 120348 | 2003-02-25 23:11:00 | There can be some very complex issues with Outlook, have a look at the links below and see if any apply to you. You could try sending in HTML ans see if that works. Are you sure you are sending as Text, it is possible depending on your setup that it is sending in RTF automatically even though you have selected Text.
