| 120150 | 2003-02-11 05:32:00 | Cold showers and using candles are your next best bet heni :D To be honest, you are straining at a gnat here. Power is saved by looking at limiting use of heavy loads such as water heating, electric cooking, electric heating etc. Next comes lighting, refrigeration and other large appliances. To be honest, unless you are trying to pare cents of your power bill, just use your computer and enjoy it. Or are you just having us on ?:| Cheers Billy 8-{) :| |

Depending on what Monitor & PC you use, then it may just pay to turn it all off when not using it :P Save even more power... It costs me about $20/month to run 2 PC's and 2 monitors roughly.. The rest goes to heating & lighting. If a 21" TV uses 80W and you have a 300W PSU in your computer, what uses more?? |

Play around in there with the settings to turn things off. You may want to enable Hibernation support, so you can hibernate your PC when you know you wont be back for a wee while. (If your OS supports hibernation). All up, its not gonna matter too much, maybe a dollar or so a month AFAIK... Chilling_Silence |
