| 120801 | 2003-02-13 03:51:00 | It appears (on my PC anyway), that if you delete files from an Outlook Express folder the folder file size does not shrink - even if it is compacted! I deleted everything from my deleted items folder, compacted (Tools|options|maintenance|cleanup), but when I exited OE, the deleted items dbx file was still 50mb. If I deleted the mbx and restarted OE, the file was recreated with an approprtiate file size, but that is not an option for all folders. What's going on? TIA |

| 120802 | 2003-02-13 06:53:00 | That is strange. When I have a cleanup and delete a lot of emails I notice the size of the folders decreasing, especially after compacting them all. Is your Deleted folder still the same size after a reboot? | Susan B (19) | ||

| 120804 | 2003-02-13 08:31:00 | I just noticed in my original post I said I deleted the mbx file - I should have said the dbx file. ?:| ?:| :8} | tbacon_nz (865) | ||
