Good info and Nice tips on completely getting rid of those accumulated backup CD's especially if you are paranoid on, FBI getting hold of your secretive data ;\

Microwaving seems to be the quickest and most pleasurable! ]:)

120625 2003-02-12 12:20:00 I found the story very boreing

But the pictures at www.electricstuff.co.uk
made my evil side of my mind light up with excitement, almost to the point were it got my hair sparkling. :)

I wonder how much it would cost to make that high voltage generator, wonder would the power cost would be.

Whats wrong with just breaking the disk in half and throwing it in the rubbish tin........ Or is that too simple?

VDP :p
(Very Dangerous Practice)

First of all if you are going to do that make sure you and everyone else in the room Is wearing SAFETY GLASSES .

This morning at 3 . 00am I had fun making a "Auto-run cdrom" even some of the comments at my FAQ did not work, but I got it going in the end . after doing a couple of CDROM deletes and formats .

Then I just went to copy files on another CDROM to which some other files ended up on the CD .

Then they would not read from Linux,

To which I had just about had enough of doing 30 minutes work in about 4 hours .

So I did the "just breaking the disk" routine to which bits & pices flew all around the room, could be hundreds of bits .

Now I have go to " " work and get more "head banging on brick wall"
Happy hour is normaly at 5pm on my way home

120628 2003-02-12 22:29:00 Yess Milsie,

It could be a bit dangerous you know like the piece of CD flying in your eye and poping your gelly pupil out of your socket :D

I didnt know broken CD's could be pieced up together.
Yeah breaking seems more simple but if you want to be really amused and enjoying yourself then try other methods! :)
