| 120568 | 2003-02-12 05:08:00 | Alrighty, I went to my dynalink rta 220 router, went to virtual server and created heaps of them with the game port 28072 and my network ip. Then I also setup a dmz host with my ip in it. I even rang up dynalink tech support and asked the guy, and he said just go to virtual server and enter the port the game uses and your network ip. I did THAT!!! Then I created my server. and I get this error! WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: bind: WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL WARNING: Couldn't allocate IP port Now I read the manuals and I still cant figure out what the heck to do to fix this!!! It may help if I add that my game is completely Quake 3 engine based so the console and everything is like the same. Its Jedi KNight 2 If thats of any help. Can someone please. For the Love of GOD! HELP MEEE!! |

You dont have a firewall running on your PC do you? This will also stop it from working. Nortons Internet Security, Windows XP firewall, etc. These could all stop the game from working. Sounds like you have done the right thing with the ports and if not the DMZ should take care of the ones you missed. You dont have any filters set up in the RTA220 do you? these could also cause the packets to be dropped into the proverbial bit bucket. |

| 120572 | 2003-02-12 09:54:00 | Alrighty. It uses port 28070. I disabled firewall. Added that port to virtual server. Ran it. I can go in the game, and see the server. It has a udp in brackets bside it. but I can't see it through an external server finder nor can my friends = / | Kibito (623) | ||
