| 121062 | 2003-02-14 01:26:00 | Just wondering how the BCC (Blind carbon copy) actually works. If the email addresses you put in there aren't shown at the recipients end how do the ISP mail servers know where to send the email? Or do they stay there until the intended domain / ISP puts it into the correct mailbox and then get deleted. Or does the email get sent over and over however many email addresses you put in there with each individual address on each email only? Does that make sense? It's Friday afternoon and brain is shutting down early today! P.O.E.T.S. day isn't it? |

| 121064 | 2003-02-14 02:19:00 | Cool. Thanks for that. So it looks like when you use the BCC option to send emails you are using more bandwidth as the email gets sent more than once from your PC. It gets sent as many times as there are email addresses. |

(j/k) I guess they're both right, sort of. If you were BCC'ing 150 people using the same domain, it would only be sent once. But if you were BCC'ing 150 people using different domains, it would be sent many, many, many, many, many times. |
