121283 2003-02-28 03:57:00 Hey, we don't want to make winning this cup look easy now do we? No one will want to challenge us next time! :D Danger (287)

I'm sure the boys would be happy with 5 to 4!

121285 2003-03-03 09:35:00 Hmmmm.... Replying to myself.... That's a worry.

Me I thought I'd wait and see.

Congrats to HoneyLaser who got it right early.

Personally I don't have anything against Coutts and Butterworth.
We NZer's ought to be proud that we have some decent yachtpersons.
Those that defended and those that took it.

As for the commercial side of things.... Its only money. We managed in NZ before we got the Americas' Cup and we will manage now its gone.

We used to Export Sheep, Dairy Products and Logs etc. NOW we can export yachtpersons!!! I don't feel at all sorry for those persons who set up businesses at the Marina expecting to earn huge profits. Maybe now they won't be able to charge $25.00 for what I would expect as an Entree.

I hear people ringing "talkback" radio suggesting that anyone who helped in training Coutts and Butterworth should send them an invoice for services rendered. I've heard Coutts and Butterworth called "Quislings" and "Traitors"

I think that Dean Barker and the rest of Team NZ as people did the best they could with what they had. Bear in mind that they may have had orders not to break the boat before the race.

People have said that you can BUY the Americas' Cup. Not true in my opinion. We have seen some history on this and the person with the most money doesn't always win.

Anyway that's just my 5 cents worth.

Well, not really. That was on the day that it was 4 - nil, so I thought it was an easy guess.
