121160 2003-02-16 08:47:00 E.ric, I wouldn't let a missing post upset you. Other people have also reported missing posts before - they must disappear into the ether after hitting "Post Message".

These things happen sometimes.:-)

121161 2003-02-16 08:52:00 Fair enough E.ric, I see your point now but it wasn't clear from your original post. I am sorry if my response annoyed you.

As regards your missing post, since our moderators don't remove anything but obscene or blatantly offensive material, it looks like your other post must have disappeared into that great void that occasionally opens up between the senders and receivers of data and is probably winging its way out of our solar system at this point in time.:D I sincerely doubt it was anything intentional so why not stick around and give PF1 another chance?

Cheers

121162 2003-02-16 09:11:00 Never mind Billy T I am sorry to you for my last reply

I will never get rich from the postings at pressf1, so why am I making a issue of it, all the same I did felt a bit insulted how it disappeared.

121163 2003-02-16 19:27:00 E.ric after each post it takes you back to the thread, Use this to make sure your post actually appears. If it appears then a few hours later it's gone, well then maybe you have a reason to throw your toys.
My guess is that the post was never attached to the thread.

121165 2003-02-16 20:40:00 If the guy feels insulted and wants to spit the dummy and withdraw - let him. Why all the efforts to appease him (or her)? Scouse (83)
121166 2003-02-16 20:59:00 Ditto what Scouse said. I bet he and I had the same thoughts going through our head when we read the post (along the line of "What a ****". nzStan (440)
121167 2003-02-16 21:46:00 A senior moment perhaps?? OldEric (3062)
121168 2003-02-17 01:02:00 Unless Eric made soem tremendous insulting post it would not have been deleted. Heck - we've only ever deleted one or 2 posts - most times it will just get locked. I don't knwo what happened to Eric's post - I assume Eric you actually saw it successfully posted? Biggles (121)

Excuse me, but your manners are pretty much at the level you appear to imply E . ric is at .

> The rest of you are amazingly tolerant, what splendid fellows you are .

Yes, we are . Maybe you could learn something from us .

> If the guy feels insulted and wants to spit the dummy and withdraw - let him . Why all the efforts to appease him (or her)?

Because to a lot of us E . ric is a valued member of this forum . He has helped many people with his extensive knowledge, particularly on the subject of monitors . You may or may not have been around long enough to know that this forum has been gradually losing a number of valuable contributors lately . It is less than strange that it has coincided with the amount of unpleasantness happening here these days . I know that I am visiting less myself due to this and the loss of the friendliness that used to make this forum so attractive .

> Ditto what Scouse said . I bet he and I had the same thoughts going through our head when we read the post (along the line of "What a ****" .

Have you never been taught the difference between good and bad manners either?

I am picking on these comments because I get highly annoyed at people who seem to delight in putting the boot in when something has absolutely nothing to do with them . These comments have not been one bit helpful and were totally unnecessary . If E . ric felt upset that his post might have been deleted he has a right to say so . His way of expressing himself may not be understandable to everyone but his feelings are valid nonetheless .

If you have nothing useful, positive or nice to contribute, don't bother posting anything at all . And you might like to learn some tolerance as well while you are at it .
