| 121568 | 2003-02-15 22:33:00 | Hi - I've just bought a new Sony Digital Vid camera - I understand if I have a Firewire installed I can transfer and translate the analogue video info to digital format on my PC and edit / etc it? At present can only do this easily with the memory stick short MPEGS. How much should firewire cost me..any other comments welcomed. |

| 121571 | 2003-02-16 00:32:00 | Your PC will be great. you need lots of harddrive space (40GB+) and fast harddrive 7200 RPM. One hour of video look was 12.5GB's Before MPEG encoding. |

No need to 'translate' the analogue, it is already in digital format from the Camcorder. Look at <imagingtechnology.co.nz> or <www.pinnacle/sys.uk> P. |
