121419 2003-02-15 03:31:00 Does anyone know how to fix a problem with works 2000 calendar?
Reminders simply do not appear on the screen at startup. Only appear if go into Works calendar. Is it Internet Explorer Service pack ! again? AM using Windows XP with SP!
Grateful for any clues.

121420 2003-02-15 07:19:00 Maybe the reminders have "fallen out" of the Startup folder? Try going into the program's Options and seeing if the startup settings have been disabled. Susan B (19)
121421 2003-02-15 07:46:00 Thanks for the interest
Was not aware reminders were meant to be in the startup folder. have looked at it and there is nothing there. How does one get it back?

121422 2003-02-15 08:00:00 I do not have the program so I can't be specific but you could have a look in the program's options like I first suggested. Go into the program itself and look around in the menues for something that mentions Startup.

If you have no luck come back and let us know in case someone else can offer more advice.

121423 2003-02-15 10:13:00 You could always simply check your recycle bin - the shortvut may still be there... falvrez (390)
121424 2003-02-15 18:50:00 Not sure if this of any use .

I am using 98SE and I have on my start up the following which is "ticked"

Calendar reminder shortcut -

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\wkcalrem . exe

Mine works well . Had one set for this morning and it was on screen at startup

121425 2003-02-16 01:01:00 No there is nothing in the works directory which suggests anything about startup Look at the suggestion by Iris on this thread. This is more on the right track with WkCalRem.exe file in the ....Works Shared folder
Thanks anyway

121426 2003-02-16 01:03:00 No the shortcu is not in the recycle bin. See the message by Iris within this thread about WkCalRem.exe. Mine does not seem to work however. mr_patchell (3151)
121427 2003-02-16 01:06:00 Many thanks I think you are on the right track. Found the file wkcalrem.exe but can't get it work. It may be corrupted
However you have helped to narrow the field considerably

121428 2003-02-16 01:43:00 Just a bit more .

Not too sure if this will belp any but when I open up Microsoft Works the programmes page opens and I just go down to calendar and open it . Then I can just add any events I want to be reminded of .

Perhaps this is why it is on my startup list???

Do you think if you run the Works CD it might solve your problem?
