| 121434 | 2003-02-15 03:28:00 | mmm i setted up fax on xp... and yesterday did a posting asking how 2 send a pic via fax.. and it was my first time to send a fax from the computer... and i'm sure i setted it up alright but when i put in number who i sending to.. it rang their end..but the fax...it came here..i mean..i do have a phyiscal fax machine...a "real one" and yeah it came here..and it was liek weird.. what did i do wrong? i am using xphome..and the program for the fax was already with it.. if nefing else is needed 2 know b4 a solution...ask away :-D |

| 121437 | 2003-02-17 04:00:00 | Hey I found that when I had a physical fax on a double plug with the computer modem, the fax would listen in to the "fax conversation" and print out what was sent from XP. I fixed that by getting a privacy double adapter from DSE, which blocks one port while the other is being used. | aj.iv (3174) | ||
| 121438 | 2003-02-17 04:44:00 | The fax machine must have "listened", Chris :D Unplug it while you are sending from the computer. You didn't set your own number as the destination: it would have complained about the destination number being engaged. (Try dialling your own phone number). |
