121908 2003-02-17 06:36:00 My chum sent me this, perhaps if I were there I could help, but from here, don't know what to tell him

I am a little frustrated ( a male thing) I try to download your fun stuff and
others fun stuff, and all I get is messages back telling me nothing is coming
through, blowed if I know why, any advise ( what a silly question) I know
I will hear from you soon.

121909 2003-02-17 07:14:00 It sounds like Outlook Express is not allowing attachments through. He needs to go to Tools>Options>Security and remove the tick from "Do not allow attachements to be saved or opened....."

If this option was ticked he will then be able to click on the paperclip and choose the Save Attachment option to save things to his hard drive and then scan them with his anti-virus before opening anything.

Hopefully his problem will then be solved. :-)

121910 2003-02-17 10:28:00 Thanks for that Susan,I sent him your info, decided to give him a ring. You wont believe it,what he was unable to do was to get people to recieve and open his emails,I asked him to send me one,he forwarded an email he had recieved,he then asked me if it had arrived,I said how could it if we were on the phone, but I pressed send and it went,I with great patience asked if had 2 lines,no he said, sorry to burden you with all this, but he didn't seem to get that he had to go on line.I have given him Billies email so that he can learn direct(just kidding. 121911 2003-02-18 05:13:00 So he was not online when he was trying to send his emails? Ooops! :D

I bet he is not the first person to do that though .

Incidentally, maybe it would be a good idea for him to enable the option of sending his emails upon opening Outlook Express, so that the recipients will eventually get their mail when he next goes online .
